Guided Bird Tour on the Esplanade

The Esplanade Association, in partnership with <a href="https://www.brooklinebirdclub.org/">Brookline Bird Club</a>, will be leading a leisurely guided bird walk along the park – great for beginners and experts alike! We will walk around 1 mile, identifying birds and learning how to use binoculars and field guides. All Guided Bird Tours will meet outside <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/UWt9Bsqi24CUmpzC7">Community Boating</a>'s main entrance. We will walk along the Charles River Esplanade from the Longfellow Bridge upriver looking for birds on both land and water. We hope to see a range of spring migrants as well as year-round natives and birds setting up their breeding territories. River Fit 2025: Women's Runs with 261 Fearless Club

261 Fearless Club New England is proud to partner with the Esplanade Association as part of their River Fit Fall Series. We are a global women’s run group (ages 18+) dedicated to empowering and connecting women through movement. Our mission is to create a supportive, non-competitive space where women uplift each other and build confidence, strength, and fearlessness — one stride at a time. Join us for weekly jogs led by a certified 261 coach. These 45-minute sessions are designed for all fitness levels — whether you’re new to running or looking for a motivating group experience. International Moves and Food

Join us on the Esplanade for International Moves and Food, led in partnership with Boston Dance Alliance, a fall program celebrating cultural dancing! Every Wednesday from September 24th to October 8th you can learn the steps to various cultural dances at these interactive demonstrations led by professional artist educators. Move, learn, connect to dances you might not have experienced before! Each class will have a different dance to learn, so each night will be a unique experience in the park. Music &amp; Movement&nbsp;is a summer-long, interactive music program at the Playspace Playground designed for children and their caregivers. Each week, children will sing songs, dance to music, and enjoy storytime led by trained Boston Music Project teaching artists. Caregivers are encouraged to attend and take part in the music games with their children. When registering, caregivers should select tickets for both themselves and their child/children. Join us at the iconic DCR Hatch Memorial Shell along Boston’s Esplanade for Salsa at the Shell, an unforgettable evening of live Latin music, youth-powered talent, and community celebration. The energy builds with a headlining set by the sensational Angel Subero and Latin Logic—but not before a spirited interactive salsa dance lesson to get everyone up and moving. Bring a blanket, your dancing shoes, and your crew.
