The Ferruccio Busoni – Gustav Mahler Foundation is based in Bolzano, Italy, in the heart of the Italian Alps.
Ferruccio Busoni and Gustav Mahler were contemporaries and shaped the history of music as great personalities and universal artists.
Taking this spiritual and intellectual context into account, the Ferruccio Busoni – Gustav Mahler Foundation's artistic mission is the discovery, training, support and promotion of young talents, it's major projects being the famous Busoni Piano Competition founded in 1949 and, more recently, Gustav Mahler Academy with its ground breaking Originalklang project.
