Boston Ballet presents Spring Experience

Featuring an exciting program of three ambitious ballets, Boston Ballet’s Spring Experience is an experience that will refresh your soul. The program begins with one of Jiří Kylián’s most beloved and famous ballets, Petite Mort, a sensuous exploration of what it means to be human, followed by a Boston Ballet premiere and masterwork of contemporary dance, Kylián’s 27’52”. The evening will close with Mikko Nissinen’s lavishly reimagined Raymonda, sure to delight ballet purists with its demand for strong classical technique and bravura.

Boston Ballet Presents Roméo et Juliette

This reimagined story of Romeo and Juliet is told through the eyes of the remorseful Friar Laurence, who despite his attempts to aid Romeo and Juliet, dooms the pair in the end. This original perspective on the well-known story, paired with intricate and chic minimal sets, allows audiences to see themselves in the turmoil and passion of the characters on stage. Audiences will be moved by Sergei Prokofiev’s roaring score, performed by the Boston Ballet Orchestra.

Boston Ballet presents Winter Experience, an unforgettable program that showcases a bouquet of the best of neoclassical ballet. “Audiences will be taken on a journey filled with surprises,” said Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen. The program begins and ends with the finest examples of Balanchine’s signature style in his Symphony in Three Movements and Mozartiana. Yakobson’s Vestris is a display of immense athleticism and artistry, and powerhouse female choreographer Claudia Schreier’s Slipstream returns to where it originally premiered.&nbsp; &nbsp; Tickets start at $25. Featuring exquisite dancing, enchanting music, and a timeless tale of love and loss, Boston Ballet presents Mikko Nissinen’s Swan Lake, an epic story that brings the best of classical ballet to the stage. Renowned as a masterpiece, Swan Lake enthralls audiences with its coveted principal roles and iconic corps de ballet. Audiences will fall in love all over again with P.I. Tchaikovsky’s masterful score, performed by the Boston Ballet Orchestra, the second largest musical organization in New England. Boston Ballet Presents Mikko Nissinen's The Nutcracker

Boston Ballet proudly presents the return of Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker. The critically-acclaimed production features dynamic choreography that showcases the talent of the world-class Company, stunning sets and costumes by award-winning designer Robert Perdziola, and the renowned score by Tchaikovsky performed live by the Boston Ballet Orchestra. The Nutcracker opens November 29 with performances through December 29 at the Citizens Opera House. PNC Bank is the presenting sponsor of Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker.  The Nutcracker features the full Company, Boston Ballet II dancers, and Boston Ballet School students. Boston Ballet and Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen present Fall Experience, a program featuring four innovative and diverse works: Crystal Pite’s The Seasons’ Canon, a world premiere by Principal Dancer Lia Cirio, Sabrina Matthews’ Ein von Viel, and Resident Choreographer Jorma Elo’s Plan to B.
