Teen Test Kitchen – Korean Food

Join us for Teen Test Kitchen! As the leaves begin to change and the days get a little cooler, we’re inviting teen chefs into the Powisset Kitchen for an afternoon of cooking. Have you ever tried Korean food? This is the perfect time to try it! Get ready to spice up your after school cooking with these recipes. You’ll be starting with fiery-sweet tteokbokki, featuring chewy rice cakes tossed in a rich, gochujang-spiked sauce. Next, we’ll build the ultimate bibimbap, layering colorful vegetables, savory toppings, and a perfectly fried egg over steaming rice, all brought together with a punchy homemade sauce. And because no Korean feast is complete without something tangy and refreshing, we’ll finish with crisp cucumber kimchi packed with garlic, chili, and plenty of zing. Whenever possible, ingredients will be sourced directly from our farm. This hands-on program is designed to be fun, creative, and educational, giving children the chance to experience two different aspects of farm life in one engaging day. This drop-off class is designed for children ages 12-16. Pre-registration is required. Registration closes 24 hours prior to class. Minimum of 8 participants required for class to take place. Please Note: Powisset is NOT a nut-free or gluten-free kitchen. Cancellation Policy: In the event that a program is canceled due to severe weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible by email and issue you a full refund or transfer into another program within 14 days of the cancellation. If you cannot attend a program as planned, contact Powisset Farm 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds will not be granted for registration cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program.
