Basic Mindfulness Trainings: meditate in Back Bay

Our mind has limitless potential. But we can easily find ourself stuck in repetitive ways of thinking and behaving. Buddha taught many gentle methods to help us transform our mind and break free from old habits.&nbsp; This Tuesday 7-8pm meditation class will take a practical look at Buddha’s wisdom teachings and how it can be applied to our modern life. Each week will include: <ul><li>guided breathing meditation&nbsp;</li><li>a short teaching on how to access more inner calm and kindness&nbsp;</li><li>a concluding contemplative time</li><li>Q&amp;A time with Gen Khedrub</li></ul>April 22&nbsp;- Basic mindfulness trainings May 6 - What is patience?&nbsp; May 20 - Being patient with ourselves Location: These classes are held at the Church of the Covenant, 67 Newbury St. Cost: $15 per class / free for members. At the door, or in advance at:&nbsp;<a href="https://www.meditationinboston.org/newbury-classes">https://www.meditationinboston.org/newbury-classes</a> Gen Kelsang Khedrub is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston.&nbsp;He has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism under the guidance of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 30 years. Gen Khedrub has served as a Resident Teacher in Chicago and in Seattle, and over the years he has taught special events and led meditation retreats around the country. His heartfelt teachings are presented with clarity and humor that make them accessible to everyone.&nbsp;
